Nkunku reveals reason for leaving AC Milan
Christopher Nkunku has spoken about his departure from AC Milan and his loan move to RB Leipzig after a difficult period with the Italian club, which saw him excluded from the team's training following the appointment of Ruben Amorim as head coach.
Christopher Nkunku spoke about his exclusion: "Sometimes, you have to respect a decision even if you don't understand it. It happened very suddenly, and I didn't expect it."
The French player stated that he had several options during the transfer market, including offers from the Premier League, but he felt that returning to RB Leipzig was the right choice for him, explaining: "When the RB Leipzig offer came to me, I felt that I had to return."
Christopher Nkunku hopes his return to RB Leipzig will mark a fresh start in his career after recent years did not go as he had hoped. He said: "The last three years have not been as I expected. I want to play football again and clear my mind." Nkunku previously shone with the German club, scoring 70 goals and providing 57 assists in 174 matches.
