Gasperini: We want to maintain our confidence and face the best
Gian Piero Gasperini, the head coach of Roma, spoke about his team's preparations for the anticipated match against Fenerbahçe, confirming that most of the squad is ready for the European adventure, while continuing to work on fully preparing Paulo Dybala.
Gasperini spoke about Dybala's condition: "Overall, we are all fine, and there are no worrying injuries. Pellegrini has started working with the group and we expect his return soon, and the rest of the players are ready to start this adventure."
Regarding Dybala's development, he added: "Dybala clearly shows his consistency, as his value is known to everyone. The start of this year is definitely better than in recent years; he has more consistency, and when he is on the pitch, we are better too."
Gasperini praised the development of the group, confirming that the technical level has risen with players like Paulo Dybala and Donyell Malen, alongside the entire team.
The coach touched on the thrilling victory over Atalanta in the final moments, saying: "When you lose in the 83rd minute and then win in the 95th minute, you gain more energy."
He added that the match against Fenerbahçe represents a new challenge for Roma and an opportunity to compare the team with the best clubs in every country, emphasizing the need to maintain self-confidence while being aware of the strength of the opponents in the Champions League.
