Leao reveals details of his departure from AC Milan: it's time for a change of scenery

The Portuguese Rafael Leão, the new star of Galatasaray, has revealed the details of his departure from AC Milan after seven years at the Italian club, confirming that the time had come for a new experience and a change of scenery.

Leão said: "There are moments in life when things need to change. I defended the AC Milan shirt for seven years, and I believe this summer was the right time to change the atmosphere."

He added about his conversation with Ruben Amorim: "I spoke with Amorim, and I was always honest with him. I didn't know him before, but my teammates in the national team who had previously worked with him always spoke positively about him, saying he is a great coach and a very special person, and during the short time we spent together, our relationship was excellent."

He continued: "I told him that I wanted to change the atmosphere, and he respected my decision. I leave with a smile and the feeling that I have fulfilled my duty; AC Milan is a club that has given me a lot, and I was able to give back to it."

Leão concluded his remarks by saying: "Today I am a player at Galatasaray, and I hope that AC Milan maintains its high level and achieves a lot of success."
