Mohamed Abdelrahman reveals reason for "altercation" with Toney
Mohamed Abdelrahman, a player for Al Ahly FC, has clarified the details of the altercation he had with his teammate Ivan Toney during the match against Al Qadisiyah, which ended in his team's defeat by a score of 3-2 in the Saudi Pro League.
The match on Tuesday evening saw tension between Mohamed Abdelrahman and Ivan Toney after more than half an hour into the second half, as the English forward appeared angry with his teammate.
Mohamed Abdelrahman said after the match: "Toney is my big brother, and these things usually happen on the football fields," explaining that the disagreement was just a misunderstanding during one of the attacks.
Al Ahly FC player added: "We didn't communicate on one of the attacks, but in the end, everything went smoothly, and we both apologized to each other," thus ending the controversy surrounding the incident on the pitch.
Mohamed Abdelrahman spoke about Al Ahly FC's loss, highlighting that the team lacked focus during the first half of the match, which allowed Al Qadsiah to capitalize on opportunities and score three goals.
Al Ahly FC player noted that his teammates tried to turn the result around after the break, emphasizing that the team was close to completing the comeback, but misfortune denied them the equalizing goal.
Al Qadsiah secured the match with three goals to two, continuing their strong results in the Saudi Pro League, while Al Ahly FC suffered another defeat despite their attempts to come back in the second half.
