Haaland surpasses Müller’s record in UEFA Champions League
Erling Haaland continues to write record numbers in the UEFA Champions League, having raised his tally to 58 goals in the competition, surpassing German Thomas Müller, who scored 57 goals.
Erling Haaland's achievement came during the match between Manchester City and FC Porto, where the Norwegian striker scored the only goal of the game so far at the start of the second half, putting his team ahead at the Estádio do Dragão.
With his goal against FC Porto, Haaland has moved up to seventh place in the all-time UEFA Champions League top scorers list, breaking his tie with Müller with a total of 58 goals.
The number takes on greater significance considering that Haaland reached this scoring tally in just 59 matches in the UEFA Champions League, continuing his rapid rise in the tournament's all-time scoring list.
