Moataz Gamal: This is why I didn't include Adam Kaied against Abu Qir
Zamalek SC's head coach Moataz Gamal spoke about his team's victory over Abu Qir for Fertilizers in today's match held in the Egyptian League 2026-2027.
Zamalek have beaten Abu Qir for Fertilizers with two goals to nil in the match that took place as part of the fourth round of the Egyptian League. The encounter was held at the Cairo International Stadium.
The coach stated in the press conference after the match: "There were some mistakes but fewer than in previous matches, and there was no danger from the opposing team towards Zamalek's goal in the first half."
Ma'tamad Jamal added: "The level dropped relatively at times in the second half, but we succeeded in scoring the second goal and confirming the victory."
He continued: "I did not protest the referee's decision, and I spoke with referee Mahmoud Nagy to demand my team's rights only, but I prefer not to talk about officiating."
He added: "We lost two points in the first match against Ittihad Alexandria SC, and we are looking forward to winning the upcoming match against Ghazl El Mahalla in the Egyptian League, alongside the return match against the Djibouti champion in the CAF Champions League."
The head coach explained that Mohamed El Sayed has suffered a new injury to his foot, while Adam Kaied is fit and not suffering from any injuries. His exclusion is a technical decision to give new players like Mahmoud Gehad a chance.
