Real Madrid may revisit Rúben Neves file at Mourinho's request
Real Madrid may rekindle their interest in signing Portuguese midfielder Rúben Neves from Al-Hilal if manager José Mourinho requests midfield reinforcements during the upcoming winter transfer window, according to journalist Rodra.
Rúben Neves was offered to Real Madrid last January, but the Spanish club decided at that time not to enter negotiations for his signing.
Since then, Rúben Neves has renewed his contract with Al-Hilal until 2029, which means that Real Madrid will be required to negotiate directly with the Saudi club if they decide to move for the player.
José Mourinho is in need of additional solutions in midfield, especially with strong competition for places and multiple options available to the Portuguese manager.
According to the report, Rúben Neves' return to Real Madrid's plans will remain linked to José Mourinho's decision and his conviction regarding the need for new reinforcement in the middle of the season.
