FC Barcelona has adopted a different strategy this summer regarding the departure of several La Masia players who found no place in the first team under Hans Flick, and they can no longer continue with the reserve team.

Sport reports that the club focused on selling players and benefiting financially from their departures, while retaining a percentage of any future sale. The percentage reached 50% in the cases of Jofri, Toni, and Álvaro Cortés, and 40% in the case of Gil Fernández, while it was lower in the deal for Tomi.

At the same time, FC Barcelona retains the right to buy back Gavi, Júnior, and Toni, with these clauses set to begin in 2028. The buyback clause for Gavi is valued at €14 million, while the values for the clauses of Júnior and Toni range between €10 million and €15 million.

In contrast, Tomi has transferred to Sporting Braga for €11 million, plus €3 million in variables, without FC Barcelona retaining a buy-back clause.

The strategy of Deco's management is to increase the sale value while reducing the percentage retained by the club from resale, while maintaining the possibility of reclaiming some talents in the future. "Sport" reports that Barcelona is placing special hopes on Álvaro Cortés, who started as a regular with Royal Antwerp.
