Bounou competes for the best goalkeeper award in the world for 2026
French magazine "France Football" has revealed the list of nominees for the Best Goalkeeper in the World award for 2026, part of the Ballon d'Or awards, which includes Moroccan international Yassine Bounou.
Al-Hilal goalkeeper Yassine Bounou has secured his place among the elite goalkeepers nominated for the award, following the performances he has delivered in recent times, thus continuing his presence in major individual competitions on the global stage.
Yassine Bounou is competing for the award alongside Belgian Thibaut Courtois, Senegalese Édouard Mendy, Argentine Emiliano Martínez, Spanish Juan García, Swiss Gregor Kobel, English David Raya, Russian Matvei Safonov, Spanish Unai Simón, in addition to Vozinha.
Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou aims to win the award after establishing himself as one of the top goalkeepers in the world in recent years, successfully making a name for himself among the contenders for the most prestigious individual awards in football.
