Kane: 73 goals put me in comparison with Messi and Ronaldo

Harry Kane expressed his astonishment at his exceptional goal tally, having scored 73 goals during the 2025-2026 season, bringing him close to the record numbers achieved by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in their best seasons.

Kane said: "I grew up watching Messi and Ronaldo, in an era where they dominated season after season. Messi is the only one who has scored 82 more goals, while I believe Ronaldo's highest tally was 69 goals."

Bayern Münich's forward added: "These are numbers I thought were crazy, and they really are. They are the greatest players of our generation, and perhaps the greatest players in the history of football."

Kane concluded: "So, scoring 73 goals, even for me, is something that makes me extremely surprised."
