Al Ahly FC begins negotiations to renew contract of Bencherki after his brilliance with the team
Al Ahly FC has begun efforts to secure the future of Moroccan international Achraf Bencharki, as the club is keen to keep him in the squad for the upcoming period. He has become one of the important names in the coaching staff's plans.
According to Egyptian media reports, Al Ahly FC has already opened the file to renew the contract of Ben Sharqi, who has established himself as a key player in coach Al-Hussein Amouta's lineup, benefiting from the performances he has delivered since the start of the current season.
Sources indicate that the player does not mind continuing his experience with Al Ahly FC, having previously rejected an offer from the Saudi Pro League during the last summer transfer window, preferring to stay with the Egyptian team.
Al Ahly FC's desire to renew Ben Sharqi's contract comes alongside the club's success in extending the contracts of several of its players. However, the financial aspect remains one of the key issues that will determine the course of negotiations, given the management's policy aimed at adhering to a specific salary cap for players.
Reports have revealed various financial offers on the table for Ben Cherki, but no official confirmation has been made regarding the financial value or the duration of the proposed renewal contract.
Ben Cherki joined Al Ahly FC in January 2025 from Al-Rayyan SC, having previously played in the Egyptian League for Zamalek. During the current season, he has managed to score two goals, along with being awarded the Man of the Match in the matches against Enppi and Zed, thereby strengthening Al Ahly FC's management's desire to keep him.
