FC Barcelona records huge revenues in the 2025-2026 season and a record budget for the new season

FC Barcelona is preparing to present the financial results for the 2025/2026 fiscal year and the budget for the 2026/2027 season for voting during the ordinary general assembly scheduled for September 19, after the club has allowed its members to review the accounts, according to Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo."

FC Barcelona finished the 2025/2026 season with record operating revenues of €1.06 billion, compared to €994 million in the previous season, although this figure was slightly below the budgeted amount of €1.075 billion. The club achieved a positive result from ordinary activities of €200,000, while the loss from exceptional items reached €14 million before tax, raising the net loss to €18 million after accounting for €4 million in corporate tax.

The report indicated that the net result of the season would have turned positive if FC Barcelona had completed a player sale before June 30, 2026. The club also generated €9.5 million from personal seat licenses (PSLs) for VIP seats at Spotify Camp Nou, while reducing the value of Societat Barca Produccions by €23 million as an exceptional write-off, bringing its total value to €116 million.

Sponsorship revenues reached €265 million, an increase of €5 million from the previous season, while revenues from Barca Licensing and Merchandising amounted to approximately €208 million, a rise of €40 million, with both figures representing a record for the club.

Regarding the budget for the 2026/2027 season, FC Barcelona expects to achieve operational revenues of €1.195 billion, with a surplus of €1 million in the ordinary result and €1 million as a positive net result, assuming no exceptional operations are anticipated. The estimates are based on the team playing the entire season at Spotify Camp Nou, with an expected increase in its capacity during the first half of 2027.

The sports cost, which includes salaries and contract value depreciation, is estimated at €636 million, representing 53% of revenues, compared to €571 million last season. The increase in the club's revenues allows for some increases in the salaries of key players after renewing their contracts, along with strengthening various departments of the club, including the basketball team.
