FC Barcelona plans to seek approval from the general assembly for a new issuance of "Media Notes" bonds worth €210 million, in a move aimed at addressing the liquidity impact resulting from the gap between the start of repayments for the financial costs associated with the Espai Barcelona project and the completion and full operation of Spotify Camp Nou.

According to "Mundo Deportivo", the new issuance will be an addition to the bonds issued by FC Barcelona in 2021 and 2024. Half of the value of the new issuance, amounting to €105 million, was already launched in July 2026, with an interest rate of 5.14% amid high demand.

Media Notes bonds prioritize the collection of television broadcasting rights revenues, as they serve as a first-class guarantee on the account where these revenues are deposited.

The club clarified that the Media Notes bonds will be partially repaid over several years starting from the sixth year, while a portion will be repaid at the loan's maturity after ten years. The average cost of the debts subscribed during the years 2021, 2024, and 2026 is approximately 3.36%.

Goldman Sachs is set to structure the process, with closure expected involving long-term institutional investors. FC Barcelona also plans to refinance additional obligations in October 2026 and October 2027, each valued at around 30 million euros.
