Al-Hilal chase Al Ahly FC's record in Saudi Pro League

Al-Hilal are closing in on breaking Al Ahly FC's historic record, having extended their unbeaten run in the Saudi Pro League to 47 matches, leaving them just five games away.

Al-Hilal's arrival at this number came after their victory over Al Shabab by two goals to nil in the derby, equalling the club's best unbeaten streak previously achieved in league competitions.

During the current series, Al-Hilal have achieved 35 victories compared to 12 draws, keeping their record unbeaten in one of the longest periods of dominance seen in the Saudi Pro League.
