Bassem Qassem: We want to win against Al-Kahrbaa and have turned the page on Mosul

Al Zawraa have completed their preparations for the match against Al-Kahrbaa scheduled for tomorrow evening, September 6, at Al Zawraa Stadium, as the coaching staff and players emphasize the importance of securing all three points.

Al Zawraa's coach Bassim Qassem stated in the press conference that the team has moved on from the 2-2 draw against Mosul and is currently working on correcting mistakes.

Qassem added: "The match against Al-Kahrbaa is important and difficult. We are playing at home and in front of our fans, and we have no alternative but to win. Our recent setback has affected us, but at the same time, it has increased the players' determination."

He continued: "We respect Al-Kahrbaa as they are a well-organized team with a good coach. However, Al Zawraa always plays for three points, especially since we are in third place and we aim to reduce the gap with the leading teams."

The coach indicated that all players are ready for the match except for a few absences due to minor injuries, confirming that he has a special group capable of making a difference and securing the result.

Al Zawraa's player Luay Al-Ani has confirmed the team's readiness for the upcoming match, pointing out that the players are determined to make up for the setback in the last round.

Al Zawraa's Al-Ani said: "We lost two important points against Mosul. This has upset all of us as players, and today we have the opportunity against Al-Kahrbaa to return to winning ways and dedicate the victory to our fans."

He added: "We know that Al-Kahrbaa will come looking for a positive result, but we have studied the team well. We will play in our usual style and try to take advantage of the home ground and the fans."

Alani concluded his remarks by saying: "Al Zawraa's fans are the 12th player for us. Their presence in the stands gives us a huge boost. I promise them that we will live up to the responsibility and make them happy with the three points."

Al Zawraa enter the match in third place with 9 points from two wins and three draws, and they hope to capitalize on the leaders' setbacks to close the gap further.

Al-Kahrbaa are currently in 17th place with 4 points from four draws and one loss. They are looking to minimize damage and achieve their first win of the season.
