Fabián Ruiz: I deserve to win the Ballon d'Or

Fabián Ruiz has raised his ambitions ahead of the announcement of the Ballon d'Or winner, confirming that he sees himself as deserving of the award after an exceptional season at the collective level.

Paris Saint-Germain and Spain star Fabián Ruiz said: "I have won everything at the collective level! After all the work I have done, the only thing missing is an individual award, which is the Ballon d'Or. I believe I deserve this recognition."

Fabián Ruiz has a strong case in the race for the award, having won major titles with Paris Saint-Germain and also lifting the FIFA World Cup 2026 with Spain, placing himself among the candidates for the most prestigious individual award in football.

Luis Enrique has previously praised Fabián Ruiz's chances of competing for the Ballon d'Or, while the player has also received praise from Spain coach Luis de la Fuente, who considers him one of the players deserving to be among the nominees.
