Mancini decides on Kayode and competition between Baldanzi and Vergara
According to Corriere dello Sport, coach Roberto Mancini is definitely set to call up defender Michael Kayode to the Italy national team for the upcoming squad.
In contrast, the competition is between Tommaso Baldanzi and Antonio Vergara for one of the spots in the attacking midfield position, among the options Mancini is considering for his new formation.
The Italian coach is currently working to reduce an initial list of around 60 players to a group of between 30 and 35 players, before announcing the final list on September 18.
Italy continues preparations for the start of Mancini's new era, as the coaching staff monitors several young talents in search of names capable of establishing themselves with the senior national team.
