Referee for Real Madrid vs Inter in the Champions League

UEFA has appointed English referee Michael Oliver to officiate the match between Real Madrid and Inter in the first round of the UEFA Champions League, which will take place at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. This match will also mark the European return of manager José Mourinho against his former Italian team.

Oliver will play his third European match of the season after officiating two matches in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Champions League.

Oliver will officiate his sixth UEFA Champions League match for Real Madrid against Inter, and the royal team has achieved three victories and two defeats in the previous five matches. Their last encounter with Real Madrid was against Bayern Munich in the first leg of last season's quarter-finals.

This will be Oliver's fifth match with Inter in European competitions, and the Italian side has not lost any of its previous four matches under his management, achieving three victories and one draw. The last match for Inter with Oliver was against Ajax last season, which ended in a 2-0 victory.

Michael Salisbury will serve as the Video Assistant Referee during the match.
