Allegri after defeat to Inter: We paid the price for our mistakes

Massimiliano Allegri, the coach of SSC Napoli, expressed his regret after his team's loss to Inter by a score of 3-2, despite Napoli having taken a two-goal lead. He confirmed that his team played well but paid the price for some mistakes.

Massimiliano Allegri said: "For the fans and for Inter, it was a beautiful match, but for us it was a bit different. We were leading 2-0, then we conceded a goal in a very easy way, and after that Inter changed their rhythm and caused us a lot of problems."

He added: "On the decisive goal, we thought the ball had gone out of play, so we stopped, but that's football. We could have scored the third goal, but they were the ones who did it," referring to Lautaro Martínez's killer goal in the 91st minute.

Napoli's coach stated: "We need to improve, but the performance remains good, especially in dealing with the ball. We are paying too high a price for our mistakes, and that pains me, but we must stay calm and now think about the UEFA Champions League."

Allegri praised Vergara, stating that he had a very good match in the left midfield position, while he pointed out that Alysson still needs to regain his best form after returning from injury.
