Raja Club puts 6 players out of plans ahead of departures
Raja Club have begun a major restructuring of their squad as Portuguese sporting director Rogério Matias has made decisions regarding several players who will not be part of the team's plans for the 2026-2027 season.
The decisions came after a period of technical and physical assessment undergone by the players of Raja Club, especially during the two preparatory camps held by the team in Casablanca and Agadir, alongside the friendly matches played in preparation for the new season.
According to reports from Moroccan media, Raja Club have decided to negotiate with six players to find a suitable way to end their association with the club. The players in question are Ismail Khafi, Amin El Khamis, Bilalould Cheikh, Bouchaib El Iraqi, Nigerian Matthias Ayosi, and Senegalese Ousmane Ba Sako.
Rogério Matias has closely monitored these players during the pre-season preparation, allowing him to assess their technical and physical levels, as well as their ability to integrate with the directions of the new sporting project of the club.
After completing the evaluation phase, the sporting management has concluded that the six players will not be part of the first team plans for next season, prompting moves to find solutions that ensure their departure from the club in the best possible manner.
The sporting director of Raja Club is expected to hold a series of negotiations with the relevant players to reach amicable agreements and avoid any complications related to contract terminations.
The options being considered include the possibility of mutually terminating contracts, as well as exploring loan offers for some players if clubs are interested in their services for the upcoming season.
This move comes as Raja Club aim to lighten their squad, particularly concerning players who are not part of the technical plans, in order to make room for new signings that the management is working to finalize before the summer transfer window closes.
The current squad does not seem to be finalized, as the sporting management continues to assess the situation of various team members, which may lead to additional decisions in the coming days.
Raja Club are working through this process to build a more cohesive squad in line with their new sporting project, alongside their ongoing activities in the transfer market to enhance the team with players capable of making an impact during the 2026-2027 season.
With this, Raja Club has entered a new phase of restructuring its squad, led by Rogério Matias, in an effort to reduce the number of players out of contention and make room for new arrivals before the summer transfer window closes.
