McTominay requests €7 million to renew contract with SSC Napoli

Italian newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" has revealed that negotiations for Scott McTominay's contract renewal with SSC Napoli have started, amid a financial gap between the player's demands and what the club wants.

According to the newspaper, Scott McTominay wants to continue his journey with SSC Napoli, but he is asking for an annual salary of €7 million to extend his contract with the club until 2030.

The player currently earns a net salary of around €4.5 million annually after joining SSC Napoli from Manchester United in the summer of 2024 for €30 million. He has delivered impressive performances that contributed to the team's victory in the Serie A title, and he also received the award for Player of the Season.

La Gazzetta reported that SSC Napoli are keen to keep Scott McTominay, but high financial demands mean negotiations will take more time to reach a satisfactory agreement.
