Khalifi comments on renewing Enrique's contract and the quintet
Nasser Al-Khelaifi, President of Paris Saint-Germain, commented on the contract extensions of head coach Luis Enrique and five players with the team, confirming that this step reflects the club's desire to continue building its long-term project.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi said: "We are extremely happy with the continuation of Luis Enrique, Senny Mayulu, João Neves, Willian Pacho, Lucas Béraldo, and Fabián Ruiz in their adventure with Paris Saint-Germain. They represent both the present and future of our club's project at the same time."
He added: "We want to build together for the long term, remain true to our values, and continue to write a collective history that our fans can be proud of."
Luis Enrique will continue to lead Paris Saint-Germain under a new contract until 2030, while the Portuguese João Neves has had his contract extended until 2031. Paris Saint-Germain has also extended the contract of Ecuadorian defender Willian Pacho until 2031, while Spanish player Fabián Ruiz will remain with the team until 2028.
The extensions also included Frenchman Senny Mayulu and Brazilian Lucas Beraldo, as both signed new contracts keeping them at the club until 2031.
