Allegri ahead of Inter clash: We are improving physically, and Inter are title contenders
Massimiliano Allegri, the head coach of SSC Napoli, has confirmed that his team is gradually developing physically, emphasizing the need to approach the upcoming match against Inter with confidence and focus, despite the recent loss to Como.
Massimiliano Allegri said: "We are only in the 3rd round, so balance must prevail. I feel disappointed about the loss to Como, but we did not perform badly. Tomorrow we face a great match between the first and second teams from last season, then we will think about facing Arsenal." He added: "Inter are the favorites to win the Scudetto."
The coach discussed the absences, confirming that the decision to rest Scott McTominay and Giovani Di Lorenzo was made to keep them fit for the upcoming period, stating: "There are four matches remaining before the break, and then we will have nine matches over 25 or 26 days, and we will need everyone in the best condition."
Allegri praised Kevin De Bruyne's condition, stating that he is gradually building his physical readiness, while confirming that Benoît Badiashile will be included in the squad after improving physically.
Ahead of the match at San Siro, he stated: "It is a wonderful stadium for Italian football, and SSC Napoli and Inter are two teams that have fought in recent years and won. We need to be at the level of the match both technically and competitively."
