Nabi escalates against Raja Club and turns to FIFA

Tunisian Nasreddine Nabi has escalated his dispute with Raja Club by having his lawyer approach FIFA to demand financial dues related to the remaining period of his contract with the green club.

According to available data, Nabi is demanding his dues for the period from November to June, which total approximately 320 million centimes, considering that the termination of the contractual relationship with Raja Club was not done in a manner that could be described as amicable.

The Tunisian coach believes the manner in which he was informed of the separation decision was inappropriate, as he received the decision through a judicial officer, which he considered an insulting approach, especially since he did not expect the end of his association with the club to occur in this way.

Nabi participated in the preparation period for the new season with the group before receiving the decision to end his duties at a late stage, which he believes harmed his chances of finding a new club, as several clubs inside Morocco and abroad had already made their technical choices and signed with other coaches.

Despite receiving his salaries for September and October, Naby believes that this settlement does not reflect the extent of the damage he suffered due to the timing and manner of the termination of his contract. He feels that the damage went beyond just the monthly dues to include lost training opportunities that he could have benefited from had he been informed of the decision earlier.

Accordingly, the lawyer of the Tunisian coach has begun legal proceedings before FIFA, demanding the full payments related to the remaining duration of the contract, while awaiting the outcome of the process initiated by the Tunisian party.

Raja Club announced last Monday the termination of Nabi's contract, clarifying in an official statement that the decision was made "in full respect of the contractual provisions governing" the relationship between the two parties, thus bringing the matter into a new phase before the relevant authorities.
