Reason for Emam Ashour's exclusion from Al Ahly FC's squad for Smouha match

Sports journalist Ahmed Shobair has explained the details behind Al Ahly FC's coaching staff's decision to continue excluding midfielder Emam Ashour from the team's technical considerations, pointing to the reasons that led to his absence from the squad called up for the upcoming match against Smouha SC.

Shobeir stated in radio comments: "Do you remember when I told you that Al-Hussein's coach said to Emam Ashour that he wouldn't play in the next three matches, the last of which was today's match against Smouha SC? Then, after Emam performed well in the last friendly match, I said he might put him on the bench, but I later said that the coach told Emam that he is not with me until he regains his form and fitness."

He added: "Emam Ashour has given his all in training and looked good, but Amouta has his opinion, and thus he has been excluded from the squad."

Emam Ashour has been absent from Al Ahly FC since the start of the season, as the coaching staff deemed him not fully fit, despite his participation in the recent friendly against Delfi.
