Barcelona's plan and Flick with Hamza Abdelkarim

FC Barcelona are proceeding cautiously with Egyptian Hamza Abdelkarim, who has played only four minutes in the first three rounds of the league, despite scoring four goals during the pre-season, making him the team's top scorer in friendly matches.

Spanish newspaper "Sport" reports that Hamza Abdelkarim's limited participation, at 18 years old, is not solely due to technical reasons. The release clause in his current contract is set at €15 million, a figure that is low compared to the financial capabilities of European clubs, especially English ones.

Hans Flick has coordinated with the sporting management led by Deco to limit the player's involvement during the transfer period, in order to avoid risking his performance in official matches.

After the transfer window closed, FC Barcelona intends to improve Hamza Abdelkarim's contract and raise the release clause to €150 million, giving Flick more room to rely on him with the first team.

According to "Sport" citing "WinWin", Al Ahly FC will receive €750,000 when Hamza Abdelkarim participates in five official matches, provided he plays at least 45 minutes in each. The amount could rise to €2 million, and the club will also earn €300,000 if the player scores five goals, with the total potentially increasing to €1.5 million.

Hamza Abdelkarim will continue to play with FC Barcelona Atlètic and train with the first team, awaiting a bigger opportunity under Flick's management.
