Officially.. Inter announce the departure of Piero Ausilio after 28 years
Inter have officially announced a mutual agreement with their sporting director Piero Ausilio to end their relationship with immediate effect, concluding a 28-year tenure within the club.
During these years, Ausilio has held several positions, starting as a secretary for the youth sector, before becoming responsible for the sector. He then moved to work with the first team in December 2010 and took on the role of sporting director and head of the technical area in February 2014.
During his time in charge of sporting responsibilities, Ausilio contributed to building a team that won 9 titles, including 3 Serie A championships, 3 Coppa Italia trophies, and 3 Supercoppa Italiana cups. He also helped Inter reach 3 European finals, including two in the UEFA Champions League and one in the UEFA Europa League.
Ausilio bid farewell to the club with an emotional message, confirming that Inter was not just a team for him, but rather a "second skin", noting that he is leaving his position but will not be able to separate from the club's colors that he has been associated with throughout his career.
