Officially: Mohamed Abdel Monsef appointed coach of the 2007 national team

Mohamed Abdel Monsef has taken over as the goalkeeping coach for Egypt's U-17 national team (born in 2007), following an official decision issued by the board of the Egyptian Football Association, chaired by Hani Abou Rida. He will join the coaching staff led by head coach Wael Riad.

This task marks Mohamed Abdel Monsef's first experience in coaching national teams, following a coaching career he began after retiring from playing in 2022, during which he coached the goalkeepers of Zamalek SC and Bank El Ahly.

The youth national team is preparing to participate in the North African qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations 2027, which will take place in Egypt, specifically in the city of Ismailia, from September 21 to October 6.

Essam El-Hadary has been temporarily leading the goalkeepers' training for the Egypt U-2007 team following the departure of Ibrahim Abdel Jawad, the goalkeepers' coach.
