Dream turned nightmare: Pablo García in tears after leaving Real Betis
Pablo García, the young talent of Real Betis, left the club's premises in a state of collapse and cried bitterly alongside his mother after being informed of the decision to move to Racing Santander in the final hours of the transfer market.
Pablo García, 20, has spent around 15 years in the Real Betis academy and was dreaming of establishing himself with the first team, especially after he got the chance to play this season and scored an important goal a few days ago, celebrating it emotionally with his mother.
However, the dream quickly turned into a nightmare, as Real Betis were forced to sell the player to free up space in their squad and financial limits, allowing them to complete Dani Ceballos' return to the club.
Pablo García has joined Racing Santander for €5.5 million for 50% of his rights in a last-minute transfer deal.
From celebrating a goal with his mother days ago to leaving in tears alongside her, this is how the story of 15 years between Pablo García and Real Betis came to an end. The dream turned into a nightmare in one night.
