Romero has revealed that Dani Carvajal contacted Rodri during the time the former Manchester City player was close to joining Real Madrid, advising him not to join the royal club.

According to Romero, Carvajal was among the reasons that led Rodri to rethink the idea of moving to Real Madrid due to the issues in the team's dressing room since last season.
