Clubs in France achieve huge revenues from the transfer market

The difficult economic situation faced by French clubs has pushed them to sell several of their top players, leading to record figures in the summer transfer market.

According to the report, foreign clubs have spent a total of €1.33 billion to sign players who were active in France, with Premier League clubs accounting for the largest share of this investment, having exceeded €800 million on players from Ligue 1.

This comes amid the significant financial power displayed by Premier League clubs this summer, after the competition broke the record for spending for the second consecutive season.

On the final day of the transfer window, several major deals emerged, including Bradley Barcola's move from Paris Saint-Germain to Liverpool for around €120 million including add-ons, while Matias Fernandez-Pardo transferred from Lille to Newcastle for approximately €60 million.

Jérémy Jacquet has moved from Rennes to Liverpool for €70 million, confirming that French clubs have become a major source of talent attracting English clubs.
