Demiral's absence worries Bosić ahead of Al Ahly and Al Riyadh clash

Dutch coach Marino Pusic of Al Ahly FC is facing a defensive crisis ahead of the match against Al Riyadh, following the absence of Turkish defender Merih Demiral due to suspension after his red card against Al-Hilal.

Al Ahly FC are set to host Al Riyadh next Friday at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, in the fifth round of the Saudi Pro League.

Bosić is looking for a suitable replacement for Merih Demiral after the Turkish defender was ruled out of the next match following his red card during the Al-Hilal classic.

Al Ahly FC's coaching staff is awaiting the final training session on Thursday to determine the player who will replace Merih Demiral, as well as to finalize the starting lineup for the match against Al Riyadh.

The Dutch coach needs to quickly reorganize his defense as the team heads into the next match looking to regain their balance after a heavy defeat to Al-Hilal by three goals to nil.

Al Ahly FC are currently in 7th place in the Saudi Pro League table with 6 points, having achieved two victories against Al-Dhariyah and Abha, alongside two defeats against Al-Kholood and Al-Hilal.

Al Ahly FC faces a new challenge as they must find a defensive lineup capable of dealing with Al Riyadh's attack and securing their third win of the season.
