Official: Sevilla sign Youssouf Fofana on loan

Sevilla have reached an agreement with AC Milan regarding the loan of French midfielder Youssouf Fofana, with no option to buy included in the deal.

Sevilla has announced on its official website that Youssouf Fofana, born in Paris in 1999, is 27 years old and plays as a defensive midfielder.

Youssouf Fofana began his career in Ligue 1 with Strasbourg during the 2018/2019 season, where he made 17 appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist, before continuing with the team until the 2019/2020 season, in which he played a total of 41 matches, including games in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Europa League.

Youssouf Fofana moved to AS Monaco in 2024, where he had his best spell, playing 175 matches for the team across all competitions, scoring 7 goals and providing 13 assists, including matches in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Champions League and the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.

Youssouf Fofana's impressive performances with AS Monaco have led to a move to AC Milan for the 2024/2025 season. He has played 88 matches with the Italian team so far, scoring 3 goals and providing 13 assists, and he has also won the Supercoppa Italiana.

On the international stage, Fofana represents the France national team, having participated in 25 matches and scored 3 goals.
