Enzo Fernández sends heartfelt message to Chelsea fans

Enzo Fernández has sent an emotional farewell message to Chelsea fans as he departs for Manchester City in a deal worth £125 million. The Argentine midfielder expressed his gratitude to the supporters during his time at the club.

Enzo Fernández said in his message to Chelsea fans: "I want you to know that these last days have not been easy for me. Writing these words is not easy either. The truth is that I haven't felt well lately; three years ago, Cobham and Stamford Bridge became a home for me and my family. I have become attached to the people, the shirt, and the badge of this wonderful club."

He added: "Believe me when I tell you that since my arrival, I have become obsessed with the idea of winning and bringing all the trophies that the history of this club deserves. We have suffered, cried, got angry a lot, but we have also celebrated unforgettable titles and victories. Together, in good times as well as in bad."

He completed: "I live football as I live my life: with passion and with all my heart. That is why I want you to know that I understand you. I understand you sincerely, from the depths of my heart, but life is full of decisions, and today I find myself forced to make one of those difficult decisions. I have said it before, but I want to repeat it: I have become very attached to this club. Chelsea will always remain in my thoughts, especially in my heart."

He emphasized: "I also understand how football works. I know how excited you are, because I am just as passionate. If I were in your place, I would probably think the same way. I want to thank each one of you: the staff, the coaching staff, the medical team, the physiotherapists, and all the people who work at Cobham and within this great institution, to all my teammates over the years, thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing all these moments with me. I was really happy here and I wish you nothing but the best in the future."
