Al Ahly requests foreign referees for matches against Zamalek and Pyramids in the Egyptian League

Al Ahly FC has requested the Egyptian Football Association and the Clubs Association to assign foreign referees for their upcoming matches against Zamalek SC and Pyramids FC in the Egyptian League, according to Al-Ahram.

Al Ahly FC has requested that the matches be officiated by referees with significant experience from the top five European leagues, as the encounters against Zamalek SC and Pyramids FC are among the most important and competitive fixtures of the season.

Al Ahly FC aims to ensure the highest levels of integrity and neutrality in their request, as they believe that assigning the two matches to elite referees with international experience will protect them from the surrounding media and fan pressures related to the league's top matches.

The club emphasized the need for swift action and early coordination with European federations to secure officiating crews with the necessary experience to manage the two matches.

Al Ahly FC are set to face Smouha SC next Thursday at Cairo International Stadium in the third round of the Egyptian League.
