Official: Juventus announces signing of Pape Matar Sarr

Juventus have announced the signing of Senegalese midfielder Pape Matar Sarr from Tottenham.

According to the official statement from Juventus, the transfer of Boubacar Kamara to the club has been made on loan from Tottenham until June 30, 2027, for a fee of €2.5 million, along with an additional €300,000 in costs.

The agreement includes Juventus's right to permanently acquire the player's registration rights, which will become an obligation to purchase upon the fulfillment of certain conditions during the 2026/2027 season, for €27.5 million payable over three financial years.

Sarr, who is 23 years old, has arrived in Torino from England and will celebrate his 24th birthday later this September, benefiting from significant European experience gained during his career.

The player began his career in Senegal before moving to FC Metz, where he stood out at a young age and caught the attention of several European clubs. In 2021, he transferred to Tottenham, but he remained in Ligue 1 for an additional season on loan.

Sarr stands out for his dynamism and flexibility in midfield, alongside his physical strength. He also possesses skill and vitality at various stages of play, having played over 100 matches in the Premier League with Tottenham, and was part of the team that won the UEFA Europa League in the 2024/2025 season.

On the international stage, Sarr has become a key player for the Senegal national team, contributing to his country's victory in the Africa Cup of Nations in 2022.

Sarr is set to begin a new chapter in his career with Juventus after moving to the Italian club from Tottenham.
