Sibari: I chose number 34 in tribute to Abdelhak Nouri

Moroccan international Ismail Sabiri has revealed the strong bond he shares with the family of his compatriot Abdelhak Nouri, explaining that his choice of the number 34 was a tribute to the former Ajax star.

Al-Saybari stated that what happened to Nouri 'will break his heart', noting that he talks a lot about his condition with his mother and is keen to visit him, which he sees as part of Islamic teachings.

He explained that his relationship with the Nouri family began through his agent, who works with Abdelhak's brother, before the relationship between the two families developed significantly, to the point that they now spend holidays together.

Al-Saybari added that Nouri, despite his inability to speak, communicates through his eyebrows, confirming that he could clearly see how happy he was when he visited him. He said that the idea of these visits being a reason for improving his condition gives him a beautiful feeling.

Regarding his choice of the number 34, Sibari stated that he left it to Nouri to choose the number he would wear with Bayern Munich. Nouri chose the number 34, and therefore Sibari decided to wear it.

The number 34 has become a symbol associated with Nouri since his health crisis in 2017, and several players have previously chosen it in his honor.
