Raja ends ties with Nasreddine Nabi and appoints his successor

Raja Club Athletic has officially announced the end of Tunisian coach Nasreddine Nabi's tenure with the first team, in a decision that puts an end to a period of controversy surrounding the future of the coaching staff in recent times.

The club clarified that the termination of the contractual relationship with Nabi was conducted in accordance with the contractual provisions governing the relationship between the two parties, after the disagreements between the Tunisian coach and Portuguese sporting director Rogério Matias reached an impasse.

Disagreements have primarily revolved around powers and technical vision, particularly regarding the summer transfer dealings and the list of departing and incoming players, amid Naby's dissatisfaction with the signing of certain players without his technical approval.

Despite initial conflicting reports regarding the coach's resignation and the management's decision to sack him, the separation has been finalized, with Raja Casablanca committing to pay a compensation equivalent to two months' salary for the Tunisian coach.

The club's management expressed gratitude to Nasreddine Nabi for his work during his time in charge of the team, wishing him success in his next professional endeavor.

In contrast, Raja Casablanca's management has swiftly acted to identify the new coach, settling on Spanish manager Paco Jémez to lead the team during the upcoming phase. An agreement has been reached with him to take on the role and oversee preparations and competitions for the new season.
