Hakim Ziyech's absence from Wydad's camp in Agadir draws attention
Wydad have traveled to Agadir today, Monday, as the team's delegation departed from Mohammed V Airport to enter a training camp that will last until September 12, as part of the second phase of the team's preparations for the new sports season.
Several players who participated in the initial preparations in Casablanca have been left out of the squad for the camp, including Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech, along with Al-Wasti, Al-Ghafouri, Mounsif, Boucharari, Akzdao, and Al-Rihani.
The first team squad has excluded Gilan, Tomisong, Pedrinho, Al-Dairani, and Baniagua, as they did not participate in first team training and were also not called up to the Agadir camp.
On the other hand, Wydad's squad included 28 players, and the list is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Rashid Ghneimi, Mehdi Benabid, Abdel Razak Al-Wadi.
Defenders: Salah Musadak, Ayman Al-Wafi, Salah Al-Din Koufi, Mohamed Mofid, Yahya Atiyah Allah, Walid Atik, Hamza Janan Allah, Mohamed Sambo, Al-Hussein Chamamri, Idris Al-Mahdawi.
Midfielders: Yahya Jbari, Nizar Rachdan, Adel Khaloufi, Rayan Mahtou, Joseph Bakasso, Naïm Biar, Ramiro Vaca, Ayman Hassouni, Osama Zamraoui, Muad Onzo.
The attackers are Hamza Hanouri, Walid Nasi, Sofiane Hatli, Chams Eddine Alali, and Haitham Hamani.
The red team's training camp in Agadir will continue from August 31 to September 12, featuring a preparatory program of three friendly matches, aimed at assessing the squad's readiness and evaluating the players' levels before the start of the new season.
Wydad will kick off their friendly matches during the training camp against Hassania Agadir on Saturday, September 5, and will play two additional preparatory matches according to the schedule set by the coaching staff.
The team's move to Agadir completes the first phase of preparations that began in Casablanca, while the coaching staff is working on organizing the squad and determining the players that will be relied upon during the upcoming sports season.
