Allegri after defeat to Como: We were light in defence and need to improve
Massimiliano Allegri, the coach of SSC Napoli, expressed his regret after the loss to Como by a score of 2-1 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, confirming that his team paid the price for defensive errors and a lack of focus at certain moments in the match.
Allegri said: "We could have performed better on the two goals we conceded. We were a bit light in defense, and we need to be more aggressive and alert in these situations."
He added: "The second goal hurt us a lot; we cannot concede a goal just 30 seconds after the start of a dangerous situation. In 20 seconds, you cannot give the opponent two chances to score; we were too negative."
The SSC Napoli coach stated: "We will continue to work towards improvement. In such matches, the team that makes fewer mistakes is the one that wins. We need to understand when to play and when to be patient, and I am confident in our ability to develop."
Allegri spoke about some of his players, praising the performances of Kevin De Bruyne and Noa Lang, while explaining that David Neres needed time after a long absence. He also revealed that Scott McTominay is suffering from a blister issue, wishing for his quick return to top form.
