José Mourinho praised the commitment shown by Real Madrid during their 4-0 victory over Málaga in the third round of La Liga at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The coach spoke about Real Madrid fans, stating: "It is important for the audience to enjoy a lot of goals, but they should also have a vision for high-level football and enjoy that. We saw a committed team. If Vinícius loses the ball, he chases his opponent."

He added: "The commitment was very high; it’s not all about enjoying the beauty of the goals, but you have to go home feeling that there is a block and a united team. In one season we scored 121 goals, and that only happens when you have top-class players in attack. We have now reached ten goals, but one day we will win 1-0 and leave with the same happiness."

He continued about Diomandé: "He has to develop step by step. He is working hard and well, he is open and humble, wants to learn, and listens to his teammates, and he will continue to develop. I cannot just look at the transfer fee. I have to look at a player who had a high-level season at RB Leipzig. When you talk about a very large number, people expect the player to come in and blow everything away from the first moment, but that is not the reality. He is a young player, so we need to be calm and give him time."

He concluded: "The five changes to the lineup? That is my goal.
