Chelsea survive Brighton comeback in Premier League

Chelsea secured a thrilling 4-3 victory against Brighton at Stamford Bridge in the second round of the Premier League.

Chelsea started the match strongly, with Roméo Lavia opening the scoring early in the 4th minute, before Pedro Neto added the second goal for the Blues in the 14th minute, following a fine assist from Morgan Rogers.

Chelsea maintained their advantage, with João Pedro scoring the third goal in the 32nd minute, capitalising on a pass from Hato. Brighton then reduced the deficit through Malick Yalcouyé in the 35th minute, leaving the home side leading 3-1 at half-time.

In the second half, Brighton tried to come back into the game and succeeded in scoring their second goal in the 63rd minute through João Pedro's own goal, reigniting the match.

Chelsea responded quickly, with Cole Palmer scoring the fourth goal for the Blues with a stunning strike in the 74th minute. Meanwhile, Pascal Groß netted Brighton's third goal in the 95th minute, ending the match 4-3.

With this result, Chelsea have increased their tally to 6 points, placing them third in the Premier League table, while Brighton remain on 3 points in eighth place.
