Tottenham Targets Milan Star After Gakpo Deal Stalls

Tottenham has moved to bolster its attacking line, placing American Christian Pulisic, currently at AC Milan, among its options to compensate for the stalled deal for Dutchman Cody Gakpo, according to "TEAMtalk".

Cody Gakpo has changed his position on a move to Tottenham, preferring to join Manchester City if he leaves Liverpool. This has prompted the London club to accelerate their search for attacking alternatives, having been prepared to spend over £70 million to sign him.

The source indicated that Tottenham has asked about the possibility of signing Pulisic, who is still part of Ruben Amorim's long-term plans at Milan, despite sitting on the bench for the team's first two matches of the new season.

Tottenham's interest isn't limited to Pulisic, as the club is also exploring the possibility of signing Malo Gusto from Lyon, Matteo Bahoui from Eintracht Frankfurt, and Matias Fernandez Pardo from Lille as alternative options to Gakpo.

Christian Pulisic represents a suitable option for Tottenham due to his ability to play in multiple attacking positions, but signing him won't be easy financially, despite the club's previous willingness to pay over £70 million for Cody Gakpo.
