Barcelona Set to Face Rayo Vallecano Without Gavi
Barcelona has completed its preparations for the upcoming match against Rayo Vallecano, scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, as part of the third round of the 2026/2027 La Liga season, amid Gavi's continued absence from team training.
According to "Mundo Deportivo," Hans Flick has most of his players available, except for Frenkie de Jong and Gavi. Meanwhile, Marc Casado missed training as he awaits a decision on his future with the club.
Four players from the reserve team participated in training: Eder Alir, Bicio, Brian Farinas, and Hamza Abdel Karim. Alir could be included in the matchday squad due to Dominik Livakovic not being registered yet.
Gavi continues his recovery program from a blow to his right knee sustained against Elche, after Flick indicated that he needs about a week to return to team training, and will resume normal work after the match against Rayo Vallecano in preparation for the Valencia game.
Meanwhile, Livaković continued his training normally for the third consecutive time, while Barcelona's intention, if his situation aligns with salary financial fair play regulations, is to retain him as a backup for Juan García and compete with Wojciech Szczęsny.
