Porto Secures Santiago Gimenez on Loan from Milan
Porto has reached a verbal agreement with Milan to sign Mexican forward Santiago Gimenez, with the deal reportedly at the "Here We Go" stage according to Fabrizio Romano. The player is set to leave the Rossoneri for a new challenge in the Portuguese league.
According to details, Jimenez will join Porto on a free loan, with an option to purchase his contract for €18 million, plus bonuses, provided that the purchase option becomes mandatory upon meeting conditions related to appearances and goals.
The Mexican forward is expected to travel to Portugal in the coming hours to complete the transfer process and undergo medical examinations before officially signing the contracts.
Jimenez joined Milan from Feyenoord but struggled to establish himself with the Italian side. With the arrival of Ruben Amorim and the club's signing of Goncalo Ramos, his departure became increasingly likely, before Porto secured the race to sign him.
