Roma agrees deal for Marten de Roon

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that AS Roma has reached a verbal agreement with Atalanta to sign Dutch midfielder Marten de Roon.

Fabrizio Romano clarified that De Roon wanted to move to Roma, while Atalanta had different plans for the player, ultimately leading both parties to agree on a separation.

Marten de Roon is preparing for a new experience wearing the Roma shirt, as he becomes a new midfielder under the guidance of coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

It is worth noting that Gasperini knows the veteran player well from his long time at Atalanta, where he was one of the key figures he relied on.
