FC Barcelona prepare to face Rayo Vallecano with Livakovic present and Gavi absent

FC Barcelona continue their preparations for the upcoming match against Rayo Vallecano, scheduled for next Monday at 10:30 PM Cairo time at Spotify Camp Nou. The team held their penultimate training session today, Saturday, with all players participating at the same level.

According to "Mundo Deportivo", Dominik Livakovic has participated in his second training session with FC Barcelona since joining, having signed a four-season contract. The club aims to keep him in the squad as a backup goalkeeper to Juan Garcia, competing with Wojciech Szczesny.

In contrast, Gavi has not participated in team training yet, having suffered a blow to his right knee during the match against Elche and was forced to leave the game. Hans Flick had clarified that the player may need a week to return to training with his teammates.

Gavi is expected to return to normal training after the match against Rayo Vallecano, in preparation for the clash with Valencia in LaLiga.

FC Barcelona's training session saw the participation of four players from the reserve team, including Ider Alair, who may enter the matchday squad due to Dominik Livakovic not being registered yet, and Picio, who is still waiting to complete some administrative procedures, alongside Brian Fariñas and Hamza Abdelkarim.
