Kompany: The start is not everything, we must keep working

Vincent Kompany, the head coach of Bayern Munich, stated that the impressive 5-1 win against Stuttgart marks a good start, but he stressed the importance of continuing to work hard and not resting on the laurels of the first match.

Vincent Kompany stated in remarks published on Bayern Munich's official website: "It's not just about how we start, we will try to continue what we have done in recent years, playing with a lot of energy and effort, and of course always scoring goals."

He added: "The players showed that again today. It's just one match and three points, we all start from scratch, and we haven't won anything yet. The desire must be there as it was on day one."

Bayern Munich's coach stated: "The start was very difficult, but that's normal. Stuttgart is a physically strong team, but we kept our composure, and our chances improved. I believe we deserved to win in the end, but it wasn't easy."

Kompany stated: "We gave everything we had, and we tried to reach the spaces behind the opponent's defense, and every player supported their teammates, and that made the difference in the end."
