Enrique: It's clear, the result was fair

Luis Enrique, the head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, expressed his satisfaction with his team's performance during the thrilling 2-2 draw against Lille, noting that the team managed to show strong character after being two goals down until the 90th minute.

In the final minutes, Paris Saint-Germain mounted a strong comeback, with Vitinha scoring a stunning goal before assisting Marquinhos for the equalizer, securing a valuable point for the Parisian side.

Luis Enrique stated after the match: "I am happy, and I think I would have said the same thing even if we had lost 2-1. I believe the result is fair. Lille played very well, like a team in the Champions League. It is never easy to play away from home, especially here."

He added: "I think we performed better compared to the last match, and we made fewer mistakes. The result is positive in the end because we managed to score two goals in the final minutes."

Regarding his decision to deploy Zaire Emery on the left side, the Spanish coach explained: "I didn't see any problem with Warren. When we put a player like Warren, he is capable of playing in any position. When he played on the right, he was amazing, and on the left, it's a bit different, but he delivered a good performance. I didn't see any problem."

He continued: "We have earned one more point than last season when we played against Rennes and Lille. I always try to look for the positive side, but we need to improve. This is the message I constantly try to convey."

Regarding the team's physical condition, Luis Enrique admitted: "Clearly, we are not in the best physical shape right now. We need to create more chances and move more players forward, but it was difficult against a team that knows how to defend well."

He concluded: "When teams defend with a low block, it’s always difficult because there are no spaces and not enough time. But I am happy with the players who came into the match, as they took advantage of the minutes they got."
