Enzo Marisca, the manager of Manchester City, confirmed that his team deserved the 4-1 victory against Crystal Palace, noting that the match was challenging at the beginning due to the pitch conditions and the strength of the opponent.

Mariska said after the match: "Perhaps during the first five or ten minutes, we realized how difficult the game would be, as it was a tough pitch and a strong opponent. After ten minutes, we started to control the game with and without the ball, and we deserved to win."

Regarding Mark Guéhi's position change and his return to the backline, the coach explained: "We are trying to find solutions. Mark played in midfield last week, and today we changed some things. My job is to find the right solution for the team."

Mariska praised the level of performance shown by Ryane Cherki, especially defensively, saying: "His off-the-ball work was amazing. Everyone knows the quality he possesses, but when he works hard without the ball, it becomes different. He was responsible for marking Wharton and managed him very well. He had a fantastic game."

The coach spoke about Erling Haaland, confirming that creating chances is a key factor in utilizing his scoring abilities. He said: "We know Erling well, and we know that when we create chances, it’s good for him. We try to create as many opportunities as possible for him."

He concluded his remarks about Phil Foden: "In the last 10 or 15 minutes, it was clear that he became happier playing inside behind Erling. This is his position. He is trying to adapt and is looking to help when he plays as a winger. His work is very good, and he is delivering outstanding levels."
